‘Preppers’

They used to laugh at me when I would buy my powdered milk.
My powdered eggs and tins of beans, and victuals of that ilk.

But now the balloon’s gone up and the soft stuff’s hit the fan
They understand the value of my contingency plan
As they scramble for provision for their beverage and their chow
They salute me for my vision because we’re all preppers now

Our savings and insurance plans will not protect our health
And it’s now we re-evaluate what constitutes our wealth
As the market’s go from bull to bear
The FTSE and the DOW
One sound investment is a prayer
For we’re all preppers now.
